To set up Voicemail in VigorBX 2000 there are a number of steps to perform.
Step 1: Enable Voicemail function for the required extension number.
To do this first enter an email address for the extension number and also enter a voicemail password. The voicemail password is required to check the voicemail from the user’s phone extension or from a remote phone. The password can consist of a numerical string (0-9)
In Answer Mode Section select “Voice Mail” as the option if the phone is not answered within the required time period. It can also be selected if the phone is busy or is offline.
Step 2: Voicemail extension numbers and SMTP Server settings
The next step is to enter Voicemail settings in IP PBX>> PBX System menu.
The extension for checking messages (888) is the number to dial to check for voicemail from the local IP phone extension.
The Voice mail remote extension number (889) is the extension number to dial to check for voicemail messages.
To check voicemail messages from a phone, dial the extension number and enter the password configured in step 1 and follow the prompts.
To be able to receive Voicemail via email you need to select a SMTP server.
Step 3: Configure SMTP Server
Enter the SMTP server details here so that voicemail messages can be sent to the user associated with an extension number.
