Sometimes problems arise such as a VPN profile not saving in Smart VPN Client if you run the exe installation program directly from the downloaded zip file instead of extracting it from the zip file into a folder first. Try uninstalling Smart VPN Client, then unzip and extract the exe installation program into a folder. Then run the exe installation program from there.

Other problems sometimes come up if Smart VPN Client is run in compatibility mode.

To fix this, right click the the Smart VPN Client installation icon and select properties.

Select the Compatibility Tab. Make sure “Run this program in compatibility mode for” is unchecked.
